Alta California Regional Center works from Sacramento and covers ten counties: Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.
That range runs from the city to the foothills and the northern valley. Homes in Sacramento, Elk Grove and Roseville sit close together. Homes in the foothill counties do not, and they are the ones that most often go without a local QIDP.
State offices sit in this city, so owners here tend to hear about rule changes early. A QIDP who works in the area keeps that habit useful by turning the change into the plan and the record.
On-site hours in Sacramento and the neighboring suburbs are usually available. For the foothill and northern valley counties we normally run the engagement remotely and plan site visits only where they earn their cost.
We assign an experienced local QIDP first. Where none is available, the engagement runs remotely, unless you choose to cover travel costs.
Homes come to us at five different moments. Each one is scoped and quoted on its own, so you buy the hours the work needs and nothing else.
Each service is described in full on the main QIDP Consulting page.
* Discount available on longer engagements. Ask on the free 15-minute call.
We are a matching service. QIDP Consulting does not collect your fee and does not take a share of the hourly rate. The agreement and the payment are between your home and the professional.
California sets the qualified professional service at 1.75 hours per client per week. In a six-bed home that is 10.5 hours a week. Read it as a floor. A Sacramento home that is rebuilding records, or working through a plan of correction, normally needs more at the start and less once the systems hold.
DirectCare is our sister practice for the paperwork side of an ICF/DD home: program plan templates, attendant and medication training plans, and a document library you keep. Visit DirectCareHQ.com
You describe the home, the residents and what is going wrong. We tell you honestly whether we are the right fit. No cost and no obligation.

Standard terms are 50 percent to start and the balance on completion, paid to the QIDP directly.
