Los Angeles

How does a Los Angeles ICF/DD home get a QIDP?

Los Angeles ICF/DD homes hire a contract qualified intellectual disability professional by the hour. You book a free 15-minute call. We assign an experienced professional after that call. The rate is a flat $90 per hour with a 10-hour minimum, and you pay the QIDP directly.

What shapes the QIDP role in Los Angeles

Seven regional centers cover Los Angeles County. Frank D. Lanterman, South Central Los Angeles, Eastern Los Angeles, North Los Angeles County, Westside, Harbor and San Gabriel/Pomona each hold a different group of health districts or cities. Your home works with the one that covers your address.

This makes Los Angeles different from the rest of the state. Two homes 20 miles apart can report to two different regional centers, with different service coordinators and different habits. A QIDP who has worked across more than one of them adapts faster.

Los Angeles is also the most populous county in California, and its licensed homes sit across all of it. Owners here compete for the same small group of qualified professionals. Contract hours keep the role filled without adding a salary to a six-bed budget.

On-site or remote in Los Angeles

We look for a local professional in Los Angeles first, so on-site visits are usually possible. Assessments, program plans and record reviews also run well remotely. Most engagements here use both.

We assign an experienced local QIDP first. Where none is available, the engagement runs remotely, unless you choose to cover travel costs.

Services

What can a contract QIDP do for your Los Angeles home?

Homes come to us at five different moments. Each one is scoped and quoted on its own, so you buy the hours the work needs and nothing else.

Each service is described in full on the main QIDP Consulting page.

Flat $90* per hour, for every service and every engagement
  • 10-hour minimum engagement
  • 50 percent to start, 50 percent on completion, paid to your QIDP
  • Free 15-minute consultation before anything is quoted
  • Rate and estimated hours confirmed in writing before work begins

We are a matching service. QIDP Consulting does not collect your fee and does not take a share of the hourly rate. The agreement and the payment are between your home and the professional.

How the hours are set

California sets the qualified professional service at 1.75 hours per client per week. In a six-bed home that is 10.5 hours a week. Read it as a floor. A Los Angeles home that is rebuilding records, or working through a plan of correction, normally needs more at the start and less once the systems hold.

How it works

How does an engagement in Los Angeles start?

  1. A free 15-minute consultation

You describe the home, the residents and what is going wrong. We tell you honestly whether we are the right fit. No cost and no obligation.

  2. We assign your QIDP

Assignment happens after that call. We look for an experienced professional near Los Angeles first.

  3. Scope and terms in writing

Hours, rate, what gets delivered and what stays yours. You see the estimated total before anything starts.

  4. Work starts, balance on completion

Standard terms are 50 percent to start and the balance on completion, paid to the QIDP directly.

Common questions

QIDP questions from Los Angeles owners

Which regional center covers my Los Angeles home?
It depends on your address. Seven regional centers divide Los Angeles County between them. We match the assignment to the regional center your home reports to, because the program plan and the service coordination run through it.
Can you cover a QIDP vacancy in Los Angeles quickly?
Usually yes. The professional pool in Los Angeles is large. Book the free 15-minute call, describe the home, and we assign after that call rather than before it.
What does a contract QIDP cost?
The rate is a flat $90 per hour, the same for every service and every scope. The minimum engagement is 10 hours. We put the rate and the estimated hours in writing before any work begins.
How does payment work?
You pay the QIDP directly. Standard terms are 50 percent at the start and 50 percent on completion. QIDP Consulting does not collect the fee and does not take a share of the hourly rate.
How is my QIDP assigned?
After the free 15-minute call, not before it. We match the assignment to the home, the residents and the work you described on that call.
